To head off an embarrassing upset in New Hampshire, that state’s Democratic Establishment is organizing a write-in campaign for Biden, who is the overwhelming favorite of Granite State Democrats (polling at 70 percent there in the RealClearPolitics averages), despite their disappointment in his removal of their primary’s premier status. Phillips is more of a wild card, with more mainstream respectability than Williamson or Kennedy, but also with virtually no name ID outside Minnesota. Kennedy Jr., who switched to an independent general election candidacy earlier this month. She has received single-digit support in New Hampshire polls and at best low double-digit support in national polls she could inherit some of the modest but significant anti-Establishment backing previously held by Robert F. Williamson, an eccentric progressive who ran for president in 2020 but dropped out shortly before voters began voting, is very much a known quantity. Phillips, the Minnesota congressman who tried to talk Democrats into dumping Biden before entering the primaries himself, is about to make his candidacy official on October 27 in New Hampshire. But sensing an opportunity to embarrass the incumbent early in what is not expected to be a competitive nominating contest, Biden’s two main challengers, Marianne Williamson and Dean Phillips, are going for broke in the rogue primary. Joe Biden’s campaign has now made it official: He will not file to be on the New Hampshire primary ballot. This election will not be recognized as legitimate by the DNC, exposing the state (and any participating candidates) to the loss of convention delegates and other sanctions. So for a while now it’s been clear New Hampshire will hold a “rogue” Democratic primary on January 23, 2024. They don’t control the date of their presidential primary the Republican secretary of State does, and he’s under a state-law mandate to keep the Granite State’s primary first no matter what. Photo: Kate Flock/Bloomberg via Getty ImagesĮver since Joe Biden convinced the Democratic National Committee to remove the first-in-the-nation status from the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary last December (in favor of a calendar placing South Carolina first), New Hampshire Democrats have been in a jam. That's all there is to it.New Hampshire wasn’t exactly Biden Country in 2020. Or, if you're lucky there's these gated off holes in the area that you can somehow remove the gates of and throw it in. Use wall walloper+ or a rocket launcher to breach the outer wall and chuck it down. The only way to rid yourself of it is by chucking it into a bottomless pit. Get this, You need to *dispose* of the hat. I could swear you can also *buy* the hat from the mayor if you have art of the deal, but don't quote me on that. The highest percentage you can get is 50%. Then you go talk to the mayor and hope to god that he thinks you can have the hat. Literally plated in gold.) and Threaten for the badge, ask for the badge, bribe for the badge with an item, or bribe for the badge with 300$. (because ?) In order to get the badge, you walk into the election office (again, biggest building, can't miss it. However, you can't talk to the mayor without the special badge to do so. No really, You have to *ask* for the hat. You need to take the hat using a speech check. With the peaceful takeover, you have to obtain the hat without killing them, snuffing them, or doing anything to them, really. When you win, the mayor will surrender their hat to you and go cry himself to sleep elsewhere. When you're there, you go to the election office (you'll find it, it's the biggest building on the level.) and request to join the election. With the Legal takeover, you need to simply have a positive city electability by the time you reach the mayor. To get those certain endings, you need to obtain the hat (or unobtain it) in specific ways. When it comes to the endings though, and I'll try and spoiler this. (there's also the offchance you goof and somehow line up neutral, in which case you won't lose nor gain.) If it is, when you finish the level your CITY electability will raise by 1. You can press "R" at any given time and it'll tell you if it's positive or not. Bear in mind that if *these* people die, your score will drop as a result.īut that's all FLOOR electability. I find that Extortion, Random Reverence, Prison breaks, and Office Workers are your best source of electability. Oooor you can simply befriend other people (Friendly, Loyal, Aligned, Submissive) and they'll increase your Electability by generally adding to it. You can *KILL* (or otherwise neutralize) these people to "increase" your score by removing negatives. If ANY npcs linger within the level with a negative view of you, whether they're annoyed, hostile, or otherwise, then it tanks your score by -1 per person. In the game you start with -5 by default cuz the mayor exists. *Burp* Alright so here's the deal with Electability.
